連日猛暑が続きますが、17年前に設計した軽井沢の別荘「軽井沢カウンターポイント」のBBQパーティに先日参加させていただきました！都心より5度以上は涼しく、また突然の雷雨にも見舞われたりと、山岳地域ならではの気候を体験してきました。そしてクライアントご家族やゲストの方々がこの空間に集う様子を拝見できたことは、何よりも貴重な体験でした！
It’s been scorching in the city, but I recently joined a BBQ party at “Karuizawa Counterpoint,” a villa I designed 17 years ago. Over 5°C cooler than Tokyo, with a sudden mountain thunderstorm thrown in—classic Karuizawa weather.
Best of all, I got to see the space come alive again, filled with the client’s family and guests. A real joy to revisit it this way.
